Gartner recently held their first Mobile seminar in South Africa in both Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The event, entitled "Defining & Executing Mobile Strategy through 2016" was co-sponsored by BBD, Airwatch and ITWeb.
As a leading player in mobile applications development in South Africa for the business to consumer (B2C) and business to employee (B2E) markets, BBD was an obvious choice as the main sponsor for this event. The one-day seminar was extremely well attended, with SA's key corporates sending a number of their delegates in the mobile space to attend this.
Gartner's leading analysts in the Mobile strategy and execution spaces, Nick Jones (a distinguished Gartner analyst) and Leif-Olof Wallin presented their latest research and predictions around the mobile market, and the increasing challenges and opportunities for business and CIO's in this regard.
Some of the topics covered included: The CIO's Guide to Mobile Strategy, The Top 10 Mobile Technologies that will redefine your Business, The Future of Mobile Application Development, Native Apps vs. HTML 5, Mobile Device Management (MDM) amongst others.
